Lillie Morris is a native of Augusta, Georgia and studied art at Augusta College (now Augusta State University) with an emphasis in painting. She is best known for acrylic, collage and mixed media paintings, and occasionally works in cold wax and encaustic. She enjoys creating abstract art, and her paintings, whether collage, acrylic or a mixture of mediums reveal a love of texture, color and experimentation. Richly layered and with her own vocabulary of gestural marks and linear elements, she strives to convey the emotional impact of her source of inspiration…be it the landscape, music, poetry or deep personal experiences. Lillie enjoys creating visually stimulating images that leave the subject open to the viewer’s interpretation.
Lillie is represented in Augusta by Art on Broad and West End Collective.
Lillie and her husband, Bill, live on a farm in rural Columbia County GA where her studio is also located.
