Necklace Workshop with Joan Schwartz

Necklace 1: Each student will be instructed how to make polymer clay beads, using one colour of clay or combining more than one colour, and embellishing them with tiny glass or metal findings if they choose.  Some pre-made beads might need to be used depending on the number of students. I will show the class how to string the beads, knotting them between each bead, and applying the clasps.

Necklace 2:  Will offer a different style of necklace using a large selection of materials such as glass, metal & wood beads, plus flat polymer squares & rectangles made by the student or myself. (Depending on number of students) They will be applied to a offering an element of surprise, and will hang from a cord string.

Necklace 3:  This necklace will be constructed on pre-made findings, metal or wood.  I will instruct each student how to make a small scale design using glass beads, and other tiny glass, metal or ceramic pieces, which will ultimately be imbedded in the finding. The finished piece will be hung on a beaded or cord string.
